"The best way to predict the future is to create it." Abraham Lincoln
Independent Educational Consulting for high school students helps each individual child take time to understand her strengths and interests, to realistically evaluate his challenges and career possibilities, and to effectively organize and complete the process of taking the next steps toward a satisfying adult life. For many students, college is the place that will immediately follow high school and lead to a fitting career. But there are so many choices, so many actions, so many decisions along the way that require focus and support. These days, many high school counselors are too busy with other priorities to dedicate time to your child, or perhaps as a working parent you struggle to keep up with your own schedule, let alone the rest of the family. This is the time to ask for a little support.
Fit. This very simple word describes one of the most important concepts in living a satisfying life. For those of you who are already working and know how your job and career make you feel, perhaps you understand this quite well. Our children and other students may not see how critical fit can be in the choices we make, especially as they have been shuttled through many years of school without having the opportunity to explore their own choices.
